Water Bath

A Water Bath is a piece of laboratory equipment that incubates the samples at a constant temperature over a long period. The water bath is a sought-after equipment for heating flammable chemicals other than an open flame equipment in order to prevent ignition. The other areas of its utilization include warming reagents, melting the substrate, or incubation of cell cultures. It is reliable and sturdy equipment with an easy-to-clean stainless steel tank and a strong metal outer case. There are wide water baths available for use, depending on the application. The water bath option is used when the requirement of heat is up to 99.9 degrees Celsius; for temperatures above 100 degrees Celsius, other options like sand bath, oil bath, or silicone bath are used. In simple terms, it is a pan of hot water used to heat a product indirectly rather than heating it directly.
